View Full Version : Somewhat strange 3DO problem (Panasonic FZ-10)

I've got a Panasonic FZ-10 3DO (the top loading model) which seems to have no trouble reading discs, but it will not boot certain games.

I originally thought that the issue was related to the fact that the games are in terrible condition (scratched a lot), but I made a clean copy from the original and the system still refused to boot the disk. The unit just went to the "Insert a Disc" screen during boot, just as it does with the scratched up original disc. Originally I thought perhaps it just would not read a copy, so I copied an original which did work just to see. This copy booted fine.

One of the games is Supreme Warrior. I can't remember what the others are.

Has anyone experienced this before where the unit refuses to boot certain games regardless of what type of disc it is on?

I've discovered what the issue is. There appears to be nothing wrong with the 3DO, but my copy method was apparently unreliable which resulted in trash copies for more scratched originals.

Only Test With Good Condition Originals.

If you test with anything else, you are not testing the console alone, but are adding other unknown variables to the test.
