Just got this one today. Here is a rare Zelda item I've never seen before anywhere. It has some smudges on it but until I learn more about it I won't attempt cleaning the silver. Marked Scavenger Hunt & Grand Feast November 1998.

The box is a bit worn but still intact. Appears to be from type of event. Not sure if this was a prize or given away.

Thanks. I was suprized to find it. It looks even better than pictured. If you have never tried it believe me it is hard to take a picture of a smudged silver platter.

That's really cool man, always nice to see the rare goodies you share with us. Did you find that in a thrift store or somewhere similar?

As stated below it turns out it is silver plated.

I deal in precious metals and antiques. Is that silver-plated? You can tell because it should have an "EPC" or "EPNS" stamped somewhere on the back. The tarnish is the color of silver on copper, but it always pays to check.

After a little searching I came up with this:

Apparently, your plate is from a Nintendo-sponsered scavenger hunt in New York that was held to promote the then-new Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It mentions the name of the event at the very end as "Zelda's Scavenger Hunt and Grand Feast". It's a pretty rare item, being that it is from a once-in-a-lifetime event, and I bet most Zelda collectors would kill to have one.
