I fully intend on snagging a slim PSP.. just haven't gotten to the stores yet.
Oh and I'm holding onto my phat-PSP just like I've held onto every single one of my generation Gameboys. I hold onto everything. It's the videogame collector way ;)

Me too! You ought to check out the "digital distribution" thread I started....
Some gamers are very concerned about the environmental impact collecting has on the environment...and yes, I am serious, but, saying that sarcastically!

One really cool thing about the TV out feature, is for emulation. Imagine taking your PSP on vacation with you, and you have SNES emulators and stuff on there, and you're in a hotel room, and you use the TV out and you can get down with some Super Ghouls N Ghosts action. That would be pretty damn sweet. It's almost like a portable modded Xbox.... at least from an emulation standpoint. I still don't like the idea that when using the TV out you have to use the PSP itself as the controller. I wish it had a dongle type connector for a dualshock or something, but alas...twas not to be.

So I take it 2 player games are not possible?

well, there is WiFi and ad hoc mode on the "str8" PSP. NO clue if it works with the TV out feature, or not.
If you mean via link cable? Nah, that's what ad hoc and wifi are for...

Just to let everyone know I just put the M33 firmware on the slim. It installed perfectly no problems. The actual flashing process takes about 3 sec. so not bad at all. Now I have heard of alot of people complaing that the psp would suck as a controller. I have found a program that lets you use your xbox 360 controller as a controller for the psp -much more comfortable. In order to do this you must have M33 on your slim. http://www.psp-hacks.com/page/4/

I just picked up the Componenet cables for the slim and tried some emulation and psp ISO's and it looks great. Everyone with a slim should get one only 20 BUCKS!!
