I finally got paid, and bought it tonight.
The demo was a good representation of the final product. But this can take on Mercinaries in the catagory of having the most fun just blowing shit up. And trying to score a huge combo by taking hordes out using nothing but neon sign. The perfect aim tequila bomb is fucking awesome. I also like how you can customize the video to run on your specific type of TV (LCD, CRT HDTV, Plasma, even optimizes SDTV's!)
One of the best 3rd person shooters in a long while. My rating 9/10, i'm sure the game will be short as hell, but It's got action - and plenty of it.
Anyone else playing?

Bought this and Two Worlds the other day, decided to open up TW first. I'll get to Stranglehold after Two Worlds, probably in a few weeks at most. :P

After trying the demo, I think this game would just be a blast. I'm sure it would be a very short lived blast, but a blast nonetheless. It's basically, like a mindless action/Jackson type game, but heck, I can't knock a game for having a narrow focus, and doing what it's trying to do extraordinarily well. I definitely want to play this game some more.

Picked it up last week from CC, for 47.99, not too shabby, and it ROCKS... haven't played it much, but the demo was just the tip of the iceberg as far as the fun goes.

Thought the demo was fun but I can see the game getting stale pretty fast. I don't like how you can slide on everything, I keep sliding on things even though I don't want too.

I'm renting it right now and It is great, But whatever you do, Do not play two levels in a row. It's mind blowing.

From what I hear the first couple and last couple chapters are a lot of fun, good level design. The middle part isn't so fun, just arena shooting fests. I bought it and am having fun with it.
Good luck unlocking John Woo for 2000 style points, that will take a while.

Not necessarily - I've currently got 746 points, and I'm only into the second mission (where you have to sink all the boats). And I'm getting my ass handed to me, on normal

Yeah I played the demo of this and it's pretty fun. Especially the aimed shots and showdowns.
It's more arcadey and doesn't seem anywhere near as solid a game as Max Payne was, but it seems very fun. I'll wait till it drops price myself.
Can anyone comment on the multiplayer? Cause if it's REALLY good I may fold, must say it looks interesting.

I just finished it last night, it is good but very short. It's only seven missions long, and I finished in about 2 and a half play sessions. Tried the online last night to attempt some of the achievements, but it wasn't too fun and the Tequila Bomb powers really imbalance the online game. Everyone just keeps running to collect the origami doves to fill their meter, then unleash a special attack for easy kills. Overall a good rental, wouldn't mind having it in the collection when it's $5 sometime way down the road.

I agree. Fun but not too impressed with the auto sliding feature.

I found an Achievement points glitch.... But you have to beat the game.
Beat the game for the first time, watch the end. Go back to the main menu. DO NOT SELECT "NEW GAME!!!" I can't stress this enough.
Select continue.
You will watch the ending again, and it will add up the scores at the end of the stage. Since the save point was after the stage was cleared, you will get all zeros and an F for shooting no enimes, or damaging nothing.
However you will unlock the 'Old School' Achievement, for not using your Tequila Bomb through the entire stage.
Clever, huh!! Better get the free 25 ponts before they patch the game! ;)
