Wii Outsells 360, PS3 Worldwide [Slashdot]

Wowzer writes "Despite confusing consoles produced, shipped or sold reports, the Nintendo Wii is now the best-selling system worldwide. Its sales exceed that of the Xbox 360 despite Microsoft's console having a year-long head start. And it's way ahead of the PS3. Good for the Wii...

Correct that the 360 has Halo 3 coming, but the Wii is also starting to ramp up for the holidays. Super Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros should be large sellers. I agree with both having strong software lineups this holidays, but I think that it comes down to 1. Price 2. Family Console choice. The 360 is a good system, but they need to address the hardware faulty and price before I see them coming on top again.


Also on the numbers of the 360, how many of them are actually people who had to replace their first 360? Does that count for two? :)

That's a good point. I'm in for three.

1.) Premium: RRoD (now repaired)
2.) Premium: Alternate console (sold to friend)
3.) Elite: Currently main 360.

Good point. I've said that about the PlayStation and the PlayStation 2 as well.
