Thread title. I've got an xband modem with box and keyboard for SNES. Any ideas? I don't see why anyone would want it other than collectors - I don't think it's active anymore.

Nope. Keyboard is not in the box. I'm just curious to know what it's worth.

Xband (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XBAND)
I didn't even know that the Xband had a keyboard. Can someone post a pic of one? I would especially like a pic of an SNES one.

I'd be interested to know what a brand new Genesis one was worth.

Actually, with the right set of network tunneling tools, it might still be possible. I know a few people who are looking into it...

ProgrammingAce: I've been hearing this for years, though. And I don't want to play ZBATTLE, I want XBAND with all the same stuff as before.

I've never looked into it myself, and i've never seen an xband setup so i can't vouch for anything myself. Dunno...

I remember when xband was around in '95-'96, it was very time-consuming and wore out controllers to type messages back and forth after matches. This alleviated that. The only way to get it was to order it directly from Catapult around '95-'96 via the xband network. It was $40 at the time. Apparently not too many were made, since I never encountered too many people who used one.. But then again, I only played Xband locally, so...
