The system and some games / accessories have the boxes, so make sure to give it a look. While your there check out a few of my other auctions, as I posted some past GamePro magazine issues among other things. Enjoy!

Wait, why is shipping so much?

Wait, why is shipping so much?

It depends on where he lives and where you live because the price is determined by distance. Priority Mail is expensive, and even more so now that they jacked up the prices. And keep in mind that that's a lot of stuff.

Man, I'd never have imagined that shipping would have gone up so much (I hadn't noticed that it was one of those "to your location" shipping calculators). Nuts. It's a nice lot, though. Wish I could afford what it's going to go for, right now.

hey hey ... glad to see the responce. I did the shipping calc as it seems to be the fair thing to do. if someone is 5 miles away they shouldn't have to pay the same price as someone who is 1000 miles away. I agree shipping has gone up a lot recently, but I did offer priority or parcel post. either way it's still cheaper than say fedex or UPS haha

Oh, I agree with doing the shipping calculator, and I'm not saying anything there is a fault of yours. I'm simply amazed that the post office would charge you over $60 to ship to California. Nuts.

yeah, it can be pretty crazy. I think the size of the box to ship all that stuff plays a factor as well.

I'd change your description and describe it as a top loader NES as more people will know that term than NES 2.
Cheers

How much did you say it weighs...this is what the weight calculator uses and yes the shipping does seem inflated. If you increase the weight you can artificially increase the rates shown...

I would venture it is between 20 and 25 lbs maybe less. 25 lbs from you to me according to usps.com is $26.25 and I have sent lots larger then this without needing oversize shipping container.

Ebay says $38.00 to ship to me

I listed it as an oversized package with a weight of 5lb to 10lbs. I really had no clue as to how much it would actually all weight. Number, Math and such are not my thing. I leave those up to the smart people haha

You have 5lbs in just NES games. It'll weigh a good bit all together, but you should be able to fit it all into a "regular" box. An unneeded "oversized" box can really add to the price. Find a box that's not huge, but has enough room for some packing, pack it all up and take it to the post office to find out the weight. The shipping is going to scare a lot of people away, especially if it's overpriced.

Not to mention you can not list 5 lb to 10 lbs ebay makes you list 1 weight not a varied weight...something is fishy here and an oversize box is not needed...

nothing fishy here, I just wasn't able to look at exactly what I listed in the ebay auction. I've included a screen cap of the options for shipping that I selected. I'm not one to sit back and let someone question my motives. Anyways ... I've sold lots of things before and purchased items on ebay and even from some peeps on here. I'm just trying to make a bit from my collection so that I can put it to use towards bills and other junk.

Need to get rid of the oversize charge, get rid of the irregular package charge and list a realistic weight
Will bring the price way down.. and would be correct

The item has been bid on and it seems ebay does not allow changes once that has happend (or if someone knows how to do this please let me know). Also how would one set a realistic weight? I think 4 to 5lbs is under what it would weight, at least from what i've read from other comments here.

Good questions..not sure if ebay will let you change weight or not after bids... In the future pack items in advance and weigh yourself and then yourself holding the packed items on a bath scale or to be more precious buy a mailing scale...

Precious or precise?
