Seriously, when the FUCK did this game get so damn fucking hard? I am about to fucking kill myself. It's gotten to the point where I used someonelses save file in order to attempt to beat it. I managed to do 9 prayer summons at the end rendering the boss vulnerable. I figured it was clear sailing from then on despite the fact that Ness was the only charcter alive with 750 hp. But you know what, it said "Ness suffered an attack and collapsed." I nearly shit myself. Is there some mother fucking strategy I don't know about? FUCK THIS GAME.

Bring lots of reviving items, I guess?

It's not really hard. Just use a walkthrough or something if necessary.

As i recall there isn't anything else to it other than prayers every turn and everyone else pretty much working to keep the girl alive.

Well, you'll love the ending [and the pre ending, which lasts a while] once you do get past that.

You must be doing something wrong. Giygas is easy. Maybe not enough prayers?

Haha this was one of my favorite battles in any video game ever. Very postmodern. Just keep praying.

I remember this battle pissed me off for a while too, until I figured out what to do. Great ending though! :)

Gee, I didn't know Ness could actually collapse from homesickness. I thought it just made him miss the occasional round. That's got to be inconvenient.

But yeah, don't stop praying. (The Franklin Badge is a tiny bit useful, since it can deflect lightning-based attacks, but those don't really happen often enough.) I can't remember if I looked that up in a FAQ or not.

A fine ending indeed. I wanna play Mother 3! In English!

Didn't super bottle rockets make things easier? I remember always stocking up on them before the final fight, otherwise I feared I would never be able to defeat him.

Actually, mutli-bottle rockets always miss in the end. It's very sneaky.

I remember being able to use the rockets on Pokey, but I don't remember about Giygas himself. I just know that after Giygas removes his "disguise," you pray until he's dead. Pretty simple.

Those rockets rule though. I bet you could beat the whole game with just Jeff alone if you stock up on enough of them.

Aye, but then you'd have to get rid of cool stuff like the Bazooka and the Defense Shower.

They get incredibly awesome near the end of the game. I remember beating bosses like diamond dog almost entirely with bottle rockets. If you don't take the time to level up a little, you almost need to use bottle rockets to progress.
