Over a year delay, I have been waiting for this game for quite some time. Kinda like Black meets Blinx the Timesweeper. Tentative release dates, hopefully it won't be delayed again:

Xbox 360: 10/30
PC: 10/30
PS3: 12/4 (Sorry Sony fans)

So, anyways the demo I played on 360 is good, Halo 3 kinda stole it's thunder, if this was this kind of quality last summer when it was supposed to be released, I think it would have done better. For those who have played the demo, whatcha think?

There are too many FPS's out there. This is the first game I've seen with individual droplets of rain when you slow down time, which is pretty cool. But for me at best it's #4 behind Halo 3, Bioshock, and Area 51.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check it out. I liked the demo for Blacksite Area 51 as well; I believe the game has been postponed some months though so with Bioshock done and Halo being always there I think it's all good.

Though there is this other fps called Crysis...

Crysis will be nice, once it's released. ;) I hope it doesn't suck!

I'm getting the Timeshift Demo right now. Say's it's taking 14min to get.

Okay, not that great a demo. It needed the epical feel of the F.E.A.R. demo.

How could you like the demo for Blacksite Area 51? There was something like 5 bad guys you could kill, and 4 minutes of gameplay before it was over. There was absolutely nothing that really let you get any kind of feel for the game.

So since this is Black + Blinx that means its a prettier version of F.E.A.R. then? I'll dl it, but with CoD4 on the way, BioShock (which is sitting unopened next to me) plus Halo 3 hitting next week, this thing better be ZOMG for me to even care about it right now.

Take away the 15 minutes of story from the Bioshock demo and that's all you saw of that game too. I thought the aliens heads jumping off their bodies and chasing you was pretty cool stuff.

As well as whatever the hell that creature was that hit like a meteor. I am just a sucker for anything about area 51.

Well I'm bumping up a really old thread

I just bought this over the weekend and I'm having a blast with it so far. Of course I have yet to play my copies of Halo 3 and Orange Box so I can't compare it to them but slowing down time and taking weapons from guys is just plain mean fun. I haven't played online yet but it seems like it could be great fun.

So what does everyone else think?

I was having a blast with this before I received the crack that is COD4.. Seriously though, this game is fun, deep and a blast, the time control methods are sweet, and there are tons of great weapons to do some hurtin.

I played through the PC version. I thought it was a great game. It could have been more seems to be it's greatest fault. there are imperfections, but even Bioshock had a lame boss fight at the end. I think it was good fun.

It could have done more with the vehicles, and perhaps some better dialogue; i read how people were disappointed with the 'timeshifting' but i think that's a matter of how you use it and what your expectations are going in...

That's what it seems like to me too. I hope that this doesn't stop people from giving it a try because I really hope they make another one.
