Bandai Namco brings back the Power Pad and Athletic World (http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2007/09/18/bandai-namco-brings-back-the-power-pad-and-athletic-world/)

Could a possible Virtual Console release of Stadium Events be on the horizon? :P

How will this affect the rarity of the NES cart? It's akin to saying that those NWC repros will affect the rarity of the original NWC carts...

LOL How in the world would it effect its rarity at all???? Trust me whoever is paying $1,800 for a Stadium Events cart is DEFINETLY NOT getting it to play LOL. They are getting it because it is by FAR the rarest NES game there is along with myriad, and its the last or next to last game they need for a COMPLETE US NES Collection.

If anything this will just get it a little more exposed than it already is and maybe increase the value. If anyone wants to play the game they can jsut as easily get a World Class Track Meet for $1.00 and play it all they want. Same exact game different title screen.

I think he was being facetious >.>

I'm interested though. A dance pad combined with a Wii remote will yield many possibilities (pole vaulting, anyone?)

Oy. *shakes head*

I was trying to make a joke. The game would be less rare, in a sense, since anyone could own a cheap digital copy of it. I wouldn't be surprised if they did release either version of the game on the VC now that this new accessory is coming out.

I NEVER made any comment about the price, just its relative rarity. :P

1800??! Is that seriously what's it's gone for within the last year or so? The last time I saw it on ebay it sold for about 740...

If the $1,800 price tag is correct perhaps it's time to sell mine ;D.

1800 is a recent phenomenon. That's what the last one went for.

Another copy sold privately recently for 1250 and a proto.

Any way you slice it, it looks like its 1500+ now.

This is getting a bit more interesting (http://www.siliconera.com/2007/09/20/stepping-on-namco%e2%80%99s-mat-hands-on-family-trainer-athletic-world/).

I'm really surprised at the games included. Looks like this is going to be a FUN game after all.
