Just got a 360 premium with the hdmi slot. I am using a kind of cheapy hdmi cable (from biglots) that works great in my digital cable box/upscaling dvd player, but sometimes on the 360 when it boots up and even in the dash, I get these weird black shadows that kind of flicker and what not in the background. hard to explain what they're doing. If I take the hdmi cable out and put it back in, it goes away.

Do you think it's the cable, the port, or my 360 is about to die on me in the morning?!

I don't have the component cables plugged in or anything else, so that's not interfering.

I have it set to 1080p expanded. I read about an optimal setting, but my 360 does not have that. Is there a way to check for updates or do you have to wait for them?

Don't buy anything electronic anything from Biglots. They have lots of great expired food too.

should I try putting some of the expired food in the dvd rom drive?

Try another cable. It's the only way to know if it's the console or the cable. You need to be sure so you can take it back before the return period expires.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's the cable/settings.

One quick question... has it been confirmed yet that the premiums with hdmi have the extra heatsink or no?
