I had a new SEGA Saturn with about 10 games and accessories. Sold it back in 2004. Meh to the system...but I Love SEGA. :)

Such a beautiful thing, indeed. I personally prefer the earlier model, both in the way the system looks and was packaged. The wider box for the original model just has so much more authority!

But wow, you certainly got a mint system. Kudos!

Thanks everyone. Sega is always cool! I remember when my older brother first picked up a Saturn and we played Virtua Fighter and Daytona USA all night. I'll never forget how cool it was. Too bad it never lived up to its full potential. I'll always keep this one new, since I still play that old Saturn my brother bought back in 1995. :)

Sweet. I remember how exciting it was to get a minty system in 1999 right before the Dreamcast came out. It was 50 bucks, too! This must be the steal of the century.

That's when I got my last Saturn too. The local Wal-Mart had tons of brand new Saturn systems for $35 a pop back then. Makes me wish I got a couple extra and put them away. Ah well.

I love the 5200 - one of my all-time favorite systems. I should add most of my collection to this thread. I have many systems, new in the box :)

That is an awesome Saturn, just like the day it was built! Is there anyway that you could include a shot of the back of the box as well?

If you start to import games on it, you may change your attitude towards the system.

If you already own some Japanese games and still don't like the system, you'll probably always feel that way.

Me personally, I love the Japanese imports made available for that system. Unfortunately the system "tanked" in America, so a lot of the good games were never released here, so a lot of other gamers share your same opinion.

I would implore you to play some imports on it though!

Even without the imports it's a great system anyway you cut it. I've never understood how anyone could say they don't "like" a system. That's like saying you don't like DVD or you don't like television. It's the content that matters, and every system, even something like Virtual Boy, has something good to offer if you are willing to commit to it.

You do have a good point! Every system offers at least one good game for somebody!

Will have to see if he responds.

I was just trying to get him to experience a different "set" of games on the system.

Are they hard to find now? You could still find brand new ones pretty easy for $100 on ebay a few years back.

Yeah, as far as I know, they are pretty hard to come by now. I see the "Genesis Core 3" Chinese bootleg systems are still selling on Ebay though (http://cgi.ebay.com/SEGA-GENESIS-III-THE-CORE-SYSTEM-BRAND-NEW-IN-BOX-MINI_W0QQitemZ180161836855QQihZ008QQcategoryZ62054 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem).

How much is the Saturn?

Are you willing to disclose the name of the store?

Yeah, I donīt in live the City nowadays, so I donīt care. Itīs an electronic store somewhere between 5th Ave and 53 St, on the left side as you walk south. The owners are Pakis, so I donīt really think they know the value of the stuff they have concerning videogames. Go and bargain a little with the owner and you may get it for cheap.

You can still find brand new ones for that, or even cheaper.

Those pics always remind me what a mystery MR. BONES was, since they had that same image on the Model 1 version that came out at launch too, but never any gameplay footage. From the pic it looks like a horror-themed game...little did we all know it would be about a black soul musician trying to platform his way back to finding his spirit!

These systems new are very hard to find. You barely see them on eBay anymore.

Thank you for the extra pics Scream And Fly! :)

I always liked the Saturn, it's a shame I have never really got into collecting for it. I would like to start a real Saturn collection, once I get a bigger gaming budget though.
