I thought for sure I'd be able to sell this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3525&item=3016747891&rd=1

I thought the price was on the low side and there was a semi-rare item included with that joystick.

Any suggestions or ideas when I try to sell the items again?

Include a picture?
:hmm:

Yeah... I think the picture would have helped.

You've got good feedback, you're not ripping anyone off for shipping, you're shipping international, you're offering paypal... strange. I think you're price is definitely reasonable, and you've got some good games there. I'd give it another shot with a picture if you can.

I agree also. It is tough to sell something without a picture posted. I am sure if you had it , it would have sold.

Only reason I can think of why it didn't sell is the high starting bid (Relatively, anyways, I think it's a fair price.) Maybe a low starting price with a reserve might help?

Nah, I think reserves scare people away faster than high starting prices

I agree... auctions with reserve price means waste of time for serious buyers.

Well, I don't have a camera, so can't do anything about a picture.

I can throw in another controller and a couple more games into the bundle, like Lost Eden, and list it again and see if anyone bites this time.

The other thing I thought of doing was selling the joystick, Wing Commander games, and the WC book in one auction and the 3DO games in a second and the controllers in a third.

If you sell a decent bit on ebay, its very much worth it to buy a cheap 100 dollar camera. Pictured items, as far as I can tell, sell for quite a decent more than ones with no pic. Especially if you're selling to us collectors; no way I would bid on an auction without a pic for anything not new.

A $100 camera is overkill. You can get 1 megapixel for under that, and for ebay a MP is way overkill. I haven't spent time looking at cheap-o cameras, but I would think you could easily get one good enough for this type of thing for $50. Hell, check eBay! Pictures definitely do help though.

You might also try using a bit of HTML formatting like a bulleted list for the games..

The thing is, I hardly ever SELL on EBay, mostly I just buy, as my feedback indicates. :) Still, I took some of your suggestions and a couple of my own and did a relist of the auction, which is at:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3018201883

I don't want to say how much I originaly paid for all this, but even $75 is a bargin. :)

If it does'nt sell THIS time, I guess I'll have to go out and find me a digitial camera and a free web sever to host pictures at.

If you're in the picture taking mood when you are getting ready to sell some stuff on ebay, just go get one of those cheap disposable cameras. Get them developed and put onto CD (hence no need for a scanner, film scanner, etc.) Take pictures of the stuff you need to sell, your family, your Room of Doom, etc.

You don't need webspace, eBay will host pics (first is free, any after that is like 10 or 15 cents.)

Still depressed? :)

I put it on my watch list just to see if you could sell it this time. I still think it's a good deal. Congrats.
