Hi,

I auctioned Samba de Amigo(NTSC/15€) and the "Cha Cha Amigo" Maracas(44€) today. Everything in mint condition with packaging and manuals.

The problem is that i thought the maracas are the Sega one's (was mentioned in the seller's description) but i found out that they aren't.

My question now is if you think that the price i paid is ok or if i should tell the seller that i won't take the maracas because the item's description was wrong?

Well official US Samba's go right in the $100 buck range (so right about that amount of Euro's you paid for your set) and the game sells for maybe $15 bucks (half of what you paid). The 3rd party samba's tend to sell in the $50-80 range depending on completeness and others bidding on them at the time.

I'd personally be miffed about the not official maraccas and paying official prices for them. Try and get the auction canceled, or to get them cheaper.

I paid around £30 for a set of Cha Cha's, which is about the same price you paid (it was about 3-4 years ago though). However, they stopped working after a couple of months... :/

For a while, you were able to get 3rd party maracas quite easily for $20. I'm not sure why the value went up on them though, because of reliability issues, they aren't worth it at all.

Back out of it if you can.

Thanks for all your really helpful answers.

I've sent the buyer a friendly email and told him nicely that i won't buy the items for that price and offered him a price that i would see as reasonable.

Hope he doesn't make me any problems.

Update: Got a quick and very friendly answer from the buyer in which he apologized and said he'd cancel the auction.
Thanks a lot guys!
