A friend of mine bought one of those for 40 euros O_o
Was wondering how much it would sell nowadays in this condition.

If it has no cracks or damage to the plastic, between $200 and $275. usually, they pulled about $225 or so in nice shape.
If they definitely want to sell it, I know someone interested in one. Do not really know the buyer at all, though, so PM me and I will give you their email address. They have been emailing all sorts of people trying to get sealed final fantasy games.

I bought a sealed GH version about a year ago for $45. I`m not really sure what they get now, but I wouldn`t expect it to be much more if at all.

How do you know if it's a first run? What about a used first run copy?

First run/print = original release (black and white PlayStation logo). As for a sealed GH version's value, I've seen them around $100-$125. A used original, complete and in decent condition, around $40-$50.

Black-and-white on the disc or the package? I have a release copy of FFVII and the PS logo on the box s full color…B&W on the disc.

@ OP If its a US copy of the game, your looking at $200-300 bucks. If its a PAL version, no clue.
A firt run copy is considered to be one that doesn't have a GH green bar on it in most peoples minds. Now if you want to get technical there were numerous variants to the packaging of the Non-GH variety findable HERE (http://www.game-rave.com/psx/playstation_perfect_guide/releasedgames/final_fantasy_vii/index.html) and the Teen would be considered the actual first run if you wanted to get technical, but those buying the sealed ones don't seem to care as far as I can tell.

Hey, thanks for the link…it looks like I have the first run, “Teen” rated one.

Yup, I definitely have the first run as well. I should seeing as how I reserved it and went down to EB to buy it and the Versus guide on launch day. I don't think I could play it again, but I can't see myself parting with it, either.
