Hey,
so the disc Sonic 2: The Trial for DC. I believe you could only get it in the Sonic Dreamcast pack-in (w/ Sonic, a normal Dreamcast and the Trial). Did it come with a case? Instructions? Any other source for getting this disc?
Also, other than the #0-#12 Dreamcast magazine demos, what other US demos are floating around out there?

It's a demo of Sonic Adventure 2, and comes in the case of Sonic Adventure 1. Think a slim jewel case that holds two discs, with the demo in the back. On the front of the Sonic Adventure packaging is a 'Not for Sale' bar or something and it says the same thing on the disc. No instructions for the trial, no seperate packaging except for the mention on the box, in fact. I almost missed it when I took everything out of the package.

Hey guys,
Sonic Adventure 2: The Trial was packed in with Phantasy Star Online, not Sonic Adventure, unless Bratwurst has some version of Sonic Adventure I've never seen before. I'm looking at my copy of PSO right now.

Jose, indeed, I forgot to mention that - it did come with PSO also. The one I'm referring to is the one that came with the Sega Dreamcast Sonic Pack, which had a pack-in Sonic Adventure and Sonic2 trial.

This poses an interesting question. Would the 'Not for resale' version of Sonic Adventure be more scarce than it's regular retail sibling? :D
Alas, I seek no profit. It's ultimately fitting that nearly all of my Sonic games have 'Not for resale' text slapped on them.

Other games that come in "Not for resale" versions are NBA2k1 and NFL2k1, at the very least. Sonic LE only came as "Not for resale". I believe these are the only ones with that marking, but they're all so common (other than LE) even as not for resale that they won't be worth anything.
The only other "non-normal" version I know of for DC is Shenmue LE (came with the Passport Disc). If anyone knows of any others, post it here, of course.

If you want to get real picky then there are first runs of Sonic and Ready to Rumble and a couple others that were recalled as being defective at system launch. I have Ready to Rumble with the problems but I brought back my Sonic when it didn't work. Any other info on these would be nice to hear!
