i'm thinking about buying one but i really don't want to mess around with RF switches and whatnot. are they available using the red/yellow/white wires?

Yes, the Jag also supports s-video and even RGB (not component, real RGB) output.

...word is bondage...

It does have a weird proprietary connection though so you will need an "official" cable.

B&C Computervisions sells them for $15 used, $20 new(Link) (http://www.myatari.com/atarijag.txt). Definitely a worthwhile investment for your Jag.

Doesn't it use a plain card-edge connector?

It might..but it certainly isn't an off the shelf RCA cable is what I was getting at.

Heh mine came with one, but I used RGB... Raiden was so crisp with it.
