Man, I really do not want to sell this. I purchased something else quite rare, and now of course have to pay for it :) I can pay for it either way when I get paid, but I really need to lighten the payment somewhat so as to not have the wife flip out on me...so...

I am selling the Master System Converter II for the Genesis/Megadrive. It took me FOREVER to find this. Basically, it is a second converter, made my Sega, to play Sega Master System games on a Genesis 1, 2, CDX, and JVC X-Eye. The unit is a bit larger than a genesis game, and takes Sega Master System cartridges.

In Europe (and I am sure most of our European members can attest to this), the Master System was quite popular. A whole lot more than in the States. When The Genesis 2 was released, they created the second converter. One that we never got (we only got that first one, only compatible with the 1st model Genesis)

Well, as I said before, it took me forever to get it. Not only is it rare, but it is rare even in Europe. Very hard item to get wherever you live. It is in excellent condition, and comes complete with an extension adapter (so that it sits flush on the model 2). I am asking $100 FIRM for it. It is what I paid originally to get ahold of it.

As I mentioned earlier, it only takes carts (not cards). So, to compensate, I also purchased some games that came on card here, but are on cart in Europe. Transbot, Ghost House, and My Hero. They are all in excellent condition and complete. My hero is the Australian version. I will add these three games should you want them, with the adapter, for $30 more. AND, if you take the bundle, I will give you Afterburner (boxed), Space Harrier (boxed), and Hang ON/Safari Hunt (complete) for free.

Paypal only. First PM gets it.

I tried to do a search for a pic. It is listed on the wiki, but apparently so rare that they do not even have a pic. I leave it to DreamTR to take the picture. I have no hosting, and no energy at the moment for that matter :) It is also in the DP Advance Guide...although the rarity is not accurate.

Zektor: I'll take good care of it, don't you worry =) I do have something kind of similar for a Master SYstem II, lets you play the cards on it, but I don't think it ever came out

i have one of these as well, extremely hard to find. i think they were listed as 10s in the SMS DP guide. This is only the 3rd one if heard of. The last one i saw was on ebay was about 5 years ago, i havent been really looking since so i couldnt tell you if anymore popped up.

only card adapter i have is for the mark 3, do you have a pic of the SMS card adapter DTR?

The SMS Convertor II is uncommon, but certainly not $100 rare - boxed ones usually pull in around £20 on eBay UK. They're rated R5 on here.

An adaptor to play card games on an SMS2 would be a different matter entirely - I'd love to see a pic of one...

dng/Anagrama: I don't think I'll be able to get to a pic of it anytime soon, but it's basically a card looking device with a slot on top of it that you can put cards in to play on your Master System II.

I know it has to be hard to find because SMSPower (omar) has asked me about it a few times...I'm not sure how many exist, I thought there were a couple, and a I got it from Clint Dyer's Sega collection about 9 years ago.

massim: No, he's not. He got out of the video game thing ages ago.

Anagram: eBay is random. Here's a loose one BINed for close to that price UNBOXED, but then I see one boxed hidden in a lot that went for only 26 PDS...
