Which baseball game (PS2, Gamecube or XBox) has the best Home Run derby?

Regular gameplay doesn't matter, I probably would never find a game better than NES Baseball Stars anyway. :)

I really liked Home Run King for Gamecube. Had a nice arcadey feel to it and it wasn't that hard to hit home runs.

Home Run King on Cube has a nice Home Run Derby. One of my more favorite ones was on World Series Baseball '98 on Saturn. I remember pissing off my buddy's now ex-wife one time playing WSB '98 and just CRUSHING her Home Run score that she threatened to throw me out of the house. LOL

Rival Schools on PSX had a fun Home Run Derby as well. The HRD on Wii Sports is fun too.

Either Triple Play 2000 or 2001 on PS1 had a sweet HR Derby.

(PS2, Gamecube or XBox)

Good job guys.

I've only played the All-Star Baseball games on PS2, as far as this (last?) generation of consoles goes, but I did enjoy the homerun derby on that game.

Doesn't MVP Baseball 2005 have you competing with a computer controlled opponent, at the same time, in a split screen home run derby setup? If so, that is the one I liked the best. Or if it isn't MVP 2005, it's something else on XBox.

As for bringing up World Series Baseball entries on the Saturn, don't forget that there were a couple of WSB installments on the XBox (WSB and WSB2K3) that were pretty good and I think those had a home run derby. Both of those, I believe, are about $2 used at Gamestop if you can still find them. Not a bad bargain if you still dig the "push one button to do everything" pitcher and batter showdowns that you rarely see in games anymore, what with all the analog control batting/pitching/fielding out there. I recall World Series Baseball, in particular, on XBox had controls about as complex as the Genesis version (aside from fielding which used a few more buttons). About anybody could pick up and play it. I only played it once but the home run derby is about the same for WSB on XBox as it was in most of Sega's other versions of the game.

Truthfully, I don't play too much of the home run derby mode in baseball games. I never thought it was that great of a feature.
