Hello, I know these are rare and I didn't even know they existed until they were already sold out everywhere. I would take whatever color is available although I would prefer black. I know they are rare and am willing to pay a decent price for one. If you have the USB controller they released for PC I would like to buy that version also. TIA :)

Edit: In case you're curious, here's a description/picture of it:

Not to steal any thunder, but these pads are as common as hens teeth in the West nowadays. Yahoo Japan always has a few for sale, but they go for high prices methinks. Good luck though, I too seek the very same pad.

Yeah, I'm starting to find that out. I didn't know the pad even existed until they were all sold out @ play-asia, ncsx, etc. I'm completely Japanese-illiterate though. Could you direct me to the section of Yahoo!-Japan where they sell these type of things? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

The PS2 street fighter anniversary pads are very similar. Try looking on ebay for those.

Won't do you much good, since like 95% of Japanese sellers on yahoo jp won't ship outside of Japan.

That, and you don't know Japanese.

You'll have to use a bidding service as a middle man, which will make it totally pointless, as the total cost after fees will be obscene. You're better off buying the Street Fighter Anniversary pads.. they're more or less the same thing.

Good luck!

Yeah, Yahoo bidding services aren't obscene when it comes to fees. I'm an extreme cheapass, yet I get many games on Yahoo much cheaper anywhere else and I am able to get them period. The SFAC pads have an awkward shape last I checked and I didn't find them to be as comfortable either. Don't even get me started on the D-pad for those things... ugh. If all else fails you could just get an adapter that lets you use Saturn pads on PS2, or just give up and get something else as mentioned. If you do want one, prepare to be patient.

I heard the SF pads were garbage. I wouldn't recommend picking them up as you must have good taste or you wouldn't be after the best controller of all time. Did they ever make a Total Control for the PS2? I use those to play all my dreamcast stuff with saturn pad.

Good luck!

Well, I own a SF Anniversary Pad, and while it's clearly inferior to a Saturn pad, for the casual/average SF fan, the difference isnt too bad.

Now, if you eat/drink Street Fighter, or spent your teenage years destroying people in SFZ2/vs games on Saturn, then, yeah, maybe the cost is justified.

Otherwise, the SF Anniv. pad isn't horrible, and it's far more affordable/easy to find. My bro bought a pair off eBay for like $20 new, shipped.

And, yes, they do have a Total Control for PS2, I think.

Any particular bidding service you recommend then? Also, I've heard those SF Anniversary pads aren't that great, so I'll pass on those.

ShoppingMallJapan.com seems to get good reviews from people I know.
There's Aazumatrading.com too which I've used and has been very reliable and easy to deal with.

Basically, search on google for 'Yahoo Japan, etc..' or follow this link (http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=Yahoo+Japan+bid+service&meta=). Plenty of places there.

By the way, I just picked up a PS2 Saturn pad the other day. It wasn't cheap, but it was brand new so I paid it's value.

Thanks for all the help guys. GangrelX came through for me and was able to pick one up at a local import shop for a decent price. It was the purple Darkstalkers version. He actually has another on eBay right now if you're interested.

That Gangrelx is a great seller. Heres the link to his Saturn PS2 controller auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=190175597527&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=009
