There's a nice small, privately owned one in Taylors called the Video Game Cavern.

I've stayed in SC for six months in 2004, then three or four months in 2006. Along with passing threw and stopping by on my many (many) road trips. (I've been on four vaction's this year along.) So here it goes;
Rhino Games in West Columbia; Video Game Cavern in Taylors; Fun Times Video Games in Newberry; McDonalds Amusements Inc in Gaffney. That's all I can think of, so yea they you go. That's four so at least you have a start. If you want to find out the address for any of the stores you can probably find them on superpages.com.

Sorry for the threadjack, but I lived there for 2 months back in the summer of 2000 and miss it quite a bit; I consider myself an honorary Columbian. I've gone back and visited three times. I miss hanging out at Five Points, The Cafe Streudel (my favorite coffee shop, when they were still in a tiny building), Maurice's (a kick-ass local chain of mustard-based BBQ; their main restaurant in Irmo has a big table full of pro-South/Rebel literature for sale), and my ultimate favorite, Lizard's Thicket (I always got the fried pork chop, collard greens, black-eyed peas, fried okra, corn bread, and sweet tea *drool*).

Back on track, is Software Seconds still around? They totally ruled.

Software Seconds website's down, so I'm not sure about if it's still up.
I'm in the Summerville area.

Semi thread jack

I used to live there when I was younger. I lived in Mullins and Florence. I fucking love it down there. I go back every year since my grandparents, aunt, and uncle still live in Florence. My Grandpa used to be a constable and he also worked at the Francis Marion University. My uncle used to do the landscaping at the university.

I would like to know if there are any stores in that area (Florence and such), as it would be nice to clean em out next year when I go.

Summerville..... Thats near Charleston. It will be a 2 hour dive to hit the stores in Columbia.

yea software seconds is still around. They have all kinds of things including import saturn, import dreamcast, import psx. and a few import mega drive and snes.

Now their pricing is high. What is funny is some games that are common are more expensive and the more expensive games are cheaper. For instance, Mike (the owner) has books with prices laying around the store. If he was to get a Stadium Events in he would charge $200, where he might chare $12 for contra cause he knows he can get it. You just have to look around. He does have a few new Turbografx-16 in stock.

he does reseal used games so people dont mess with the instructions. But at the same time you cant see the condition of the cart and book ( if it even has it). They don't hide the fact the reseal and don't try to con people into believing that they are new.

oh yea his stores ebay name is - Sofsec2000

Can I post the phone number and address? If not, just pm me and I will give you the info.

Software Seconds is where it's at, I do some shopping there from time to time. However, I live in Newberry county and have never heard of the above mentioned "Fun Times Video Games" in Newberry. It may just be a mix up of the city name or maybe the place closed down.
