View Full Version : I am glad the new PS2/PSP "Greatest Hits" pink label is now only a sticker.

I hate to break it to you, but I highly doubt that is what is happening. This has been going on since as far back as I can remember in regards to PS2 games. New Greatest Hits additions have a sticker put on old stock until new Greatest Hits branded versions can be printed.

Really?
Hmm. Maybe so. I saw two copies there today of that MTX game for PSP, one with just a Greatest Hits sticker, and one with an actual Greatest Hits print. It's possible.

It's not possible, it's how it is. The sony reps come to the stores and sticker up the old stock, and stores also have rolls of the stickers to do it themselves.

This is the truth. The stickers are always used when a game first goes Greatest Hits. I've seen this phenomenon for the past 4 years.

No. It's not.

Unfortunately vectorman is correct. I've seen Sony reps placing stickers on new GH product in stores before. After several weeks the new versions come in and the old black bars are sold out quickly.

I've seen stores where GH and non GH games have different prices. Fucking Gamestop.

Its actually been going on as far back as PSOne GH titles. I used to have a local Sony Rep come in and green sticker our then newly added GH titles on her monthly visit to us.

That's just lazy employees not walking the sales floor and updating the sitcker SKUs.
If you bring both boxes up to the counter, both will scan at the lower price.

This is true...sorry, but it won't be a sticker for long, it will be an actual part of the insert...

Yeah, like when I bought Kingdom Hearts 2. The sticker still said $49.99, but it came up as $19.99.

I am not trying to start a rumor. I was looking for a psp rare thread. Is it me or did puzzle fighter dissapear. I only saw 1 on store shelves and I haven't seen any at any of the stores I visit. It is like they dissapeared.

I agree with that.
Now in regards to the actual topic, I've seen stores up the GH stickers on black print boxes, like many people have said before me. They do it just until the store gets the red printed GH cases. So unless you can buy the game before the red print cases come in, you're going to have to put up with the red print. It's sucks but oh well.

Nintendo has done the sticker thing too. I bought a copy of Simpsons Hit & Run once that had a "Player's Choice" sticker on it.
(Fucking GameStop.)
