Well, actually, it is just next door to the old location but it is much larger than before. I went up there today and they were open in their new digs even though they were still switching stuff over from the old place.
When they are fully finished it will look very nice. One sizable corner of the store is going to be dedicated to the Atari 2600 and Sega Master System stuff. They are also going to be able to display more of their rare stuff for potential buyers.
Anybody who lives in the south Texas area or plan to be in Austin in the future should really check this place out.
I had doubts about this place when it first opened (you know, how long it would survive) but seeing it move to a bigger and better location brings a smile to my face. I have nothing against GameStops but I like having an independent game store around that carries stuff that no-one else has.

Yeah I've heard about you guys. Is Game Fellas still in business? Heard many rumors about them.
My chain of stores mostly run the north areas of Texas.

I was just there on Wednesday. They were moving over most of the stuff that day. It's a really good store. Got some import Saturn games and they have cool shirts as well. Looks like they have a great selection of games, systems, accessories, etc...
I'm also stoked about this store because I am about to accept a job with a firm in Austin so my family and I will be moving there. It's about time I get to live near a good classic gaming store :)

Yeah. They're down to one location and they're a shadow of their former selves. I'm a former employee ('97 - '99) and I can tell you some interesting stories (nothing too outrageous). Or answer some questions if you have any.

I'm going to be passing threw Austin, Texas in a few weeks. Whats the address of the new location, that'd be interested in stopping by while I pass threw. I need 30-some-odd Genesis games to own all the US released titles. So I expect to find 30-some-odd Genesis that I DONT own all complete, for cheap. :) :) :)

The address is 911 W. Anderson Lane. It is near where Lamar Road and Highway 183 meet.
Incidentially, about a mile down the same road, is where you can find GameFellas, another independent game store. It's in Northcross Mall.

I was there in March or so. Is Northcross still in shambles? It boggles my mind that they're converting half the mall into a Wal-Mart.

Dang. McKinney's a bit far to drive, but I have been there a couple of times, so I might be able to stop by when it opens. My brother lives somewhat nearby, so I may have to make a day of it.
You're not the same as the videogame store that's in Stonebriar Centre in Frisco, are you? I thought it was called something like the Videogame Exchange. Nice store, not enough '80s era games.
