Probably the most hyped up mediocre game I have played in a while (Exclude Halo due to the fact I can at least play a game with a constant full room). As you can guess, this game is on-line only. I donno if there was an option for bots, nor did I/would I have explored it.

So what makes this game so bland? It is Battlefield copied over, and the terroristic side is painted over with an alien skin.

Each role is unique, each having its ups and down, just like any Battlefield type game, but whats a nice change is that even between the Alien and the Human roles of say a sniper, they have different items, and have slight variations to them. Other then that...thats it. Take battlefield 2142, give it aliens, no supposed spy ware, and servers that all have below 15 people in them for HUGE maps, and tah-dah! You have Quake Wars.

I will however, check this out for XB360 in hopes that the servers a little more full, but in my opinion, this game doesn't warrant a $50 dollar price tag, let alone a $60 price tag. I guess I'll wait for the Orange Box for Team Fortress 2 , even though I think I am getting that for XB360 also, just because I know more people going that route. PC gaming is dieing out more and more with me, though I still hop on for a game of Counter-Strike, or go up to the local LAN center for the social aspect. Oh which I forgot to mention in the half assed review I just gave for the half assed game, there is no built in voice chat, not that I spent enough time to figure it out if it was built in, all there are, are preset emotes, which I'd rather just play Tribes for then. Better game anyway.

Hit me up with your thoughts, truthfully, I didn't give the game that much time at all. But I would have thought I would have enjoyed a game or two, however, I felt nothing in each round I played.

My problem with it is the demo only runs in xp and vista. I have win 2000. Not supporting win 2000 is a crime. That probably eliminated a good chunk of people. I was totally dissapointed. I just perfer win 2000 over xp and I don't want to install xp just to play it.,

I was totally looking forward to this game too, but to me, the demo falt like it was a poor man's Battlefield 2.

I'm now going to pass on this one.

I was in the beta for a while and although improvements have been made, I just don't like the game. I'm passing on it as well. This is truly disappointing to me as I was looking forward to this game but it just didn't live up to the hype.

tried to play on my bro's dell xps 410 running vista (2gigs 667mhz ram, intel e6400 cpu at 2.66ghz and a 7950GTX GPU with 1gig ram) running it at 1680x1050 on a 20inch widescreen the game didn't seem to run very well. I wasn't all that impressed.

It's not that bad but TF2 is the better game.

Ouch, I am going to have to say that I am quite a big fan of the game. I how the objectives force alot of tactical variations. I like the speed, and love the field ops (I love artillery in my games). I do fear it will be over shadowed by TF2 though.

We had such a blast with the game over at LANgaming.net that we hosted a server for the demo and are now hosting more for the game.
