I wanted a new-in-box Atari 400 for a long time. Finally, I scored one. This one was never used - power supply and switchbox are still factory wrapped. Has all paperwork too, and it's flawless!

Wow, that thing is perfect! You could look for ages and not find one in better condition. Nice find, CONGRATS! :guitar:

Beautiful. Brings a tear to my eye. :) Now just find an 800 in the same condition...

Sorry about that, I should have posted it there.

All I need is a new 800 and my Atari 8-bit collection is complete! This is not including the elusive 1400XL and 1450XLD, of course. I found this one locally by chance. Paid $40.00 for it.

Here are a few more pics :)

Well worth $40 if you ask me. Are you going to fire it up?

Not this one - I'll keep this one as part of my "new" collection of 8-bit Ataris. I have an expanded 400 that I actually use. I actually love the membrane keyboard.

Off topic - What kind of digital camera do you have, those pictures are super clear?

For my job, I use pro SLR cameras and lenses, but for those pics I used a Canon SD1000, believe it or not. It's a fantastic little camera.

Seconded. I've always loved it's membrane keyboard. It's better than some of the other membrane style buttons that came out in that time period.

The pictures are so good you can practically smell the new plastic shell.

Congrats!

Freakin' Incredible. That is *Truly* museum quality. Didn't even think that a new one still existed. Good show!

Oh wow, they had 1 gig memory back then? ;)

Congrats dude, Just awesome all over. I'd like to get an Atari 800 one day but all of the local accounts I've heard of findings thus far were grim.

Thanks man. A new-in-box 800 and 810 are the last items I need to complete my collection. I just scored a new-in-box Atari 400 48K upgrade kit today, which is kinda cool, since I now have the new 400, 410, and the 48K upgrade to all go together.

Well, if I find a new 800 I'll let you know, though the chances of winning the lottery are in my favor. :)
