Closing K-Marts' Final Weekend...

Hi folks,

I know we talked about this before, but this is supposedly the final weekend for the K-Marts that were closing. Before anybody get upset, I'm not celebrating anybody losing their jobs here, but I wanted to remind you guys to grab up the deals before Saturday ends. All the games or game accessories were 60% off.

Today, I got:

Mario Party 4/Wavebird combo - GC - $30
Legends of Wrestling - GC - $12
SSX Tricky - GBA - $8
the last PS2 memory card in the store - $10

I knew paying $20 last weekend for Metroid Prime was too much...

They were 80% off in my town at both locations (!) and ended up with a ton of GBA games and a few Gamecube games... Godzilla, Tiger Woods, Jimmy Newtron, Rayman Arena, Rugrats, and Hot Wheels.

And I got 8 packs of Animal Crossing cards for $0.43 each. I'm happy.

No kidding - the one in my area was 70% off GameCube games, and 80% off GBA games.

Swingers Golf ($5.99)

And the Nintendo Guides for StarFox Adventures and Super Mario Sunshine for a total of $.51.

By the way, there were lots more games (especially the StarFox Adventures.)

Today was the last day for both local K-Marts and I made some going away scores (I never thought the words good deal and K-Mart would be used in the same sentence, but what do you know). Everytihing was 95% off and in addition to some nice non-gaming stuff (packs of underware for 0.20), I did get a GBA Gameshark for a dollar and some PS1 accesories (3rd party controllers, a couple duel shocks) for less then a dollar each. There were no actual games left though. And I loaned my uncle $5,500 so that he could buy all the fixtures in the automotive department in preperation for opening his own automotive repair center. He got tons (I mean almost 100 pieces) of equipment for a fraction of what they cost even used. My $5,500 gives me a controlling share of his company, so I'm happy.

It's also the last day for Alaska stores. Once all 5 Kmarts closes there there won't be a single Kmart in Alaska. It's a fucking shame I'm in Mi as there'd probably be a lot of good stuff there considering Alaska isn't exactly populous state.

I went there this morning and came out with 6 e-reader games for 40 cents each and a bunch of candy for 1 to 4 cents. :)
