I didn't want this announcement to slip through the cracks, since I am such a fan of my home boy Kirby.

EDIT: Joystiq picked up the news: http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/11/kirby-super-star-sequel-coming-to-ds/

Basically a remake of the SNES Kirby Super Star game, most likely with some added features, hopefully wifi. This should be good.

A U.S. release is a no-brainer. We get every Kirby game Hal/Nintendo churns out.

Nintendo's conference was pretty nice. They also showed some screens of the new gritter looking Advance Wars DS 2, as well as revealed Fire Emblem DS, which from what I gather is a remake of FE3, which was a remake of FE1...

Still, I'm kind of disappointed that there was no New Super Mario Bros. 2 announcement. Kirby gets three installments on the DS, and yet my homeboy Mario is reduced to one platformer appearance per console these days =/

Awesome! Super Star is my favorite Kirby game, but I haven't played it in a long time. I'll have to pick this up.

Shiny indeed. That game has a certain quality that many later Kirby games were sorely lacking. Still, bit of a shame that it's yet another remake, and the 2-player simultaneous action would be missed.

I'm as big a Kirby fan as the next guy, but... meh.

I'm still waiting to hear about that Kirby platformer we saw for the Cube a few years ago... surely it's being juiced up for the Wii?

I hope they add some more powers...I missed the laser power from adventure.

But yes, that's probably the best kirby game ever, and wifi multiplayer great cave offensive would be damned awesome.

Wooty! I still need Squeek Squad, was it even good? I didn't hear much about it (for whatever reasons idk) and none of my friends have it.

Yes, Squeak Squad is one of the best entries in the series to date. I personally loved it.

Hmmm. I'll now have to keep my eyes open for a good used copy at a local shop, $30 at GameStop is a bit high for right now and I believe I've seen it for $15 or less at some indy stores.

Actually, I'd heard Squeak Squad can be 100% completed in less than a day.

I'd rather have a gander at The Amazing Mirror.

Enough with the remakes already. I love Kirby, and I'm a big fan of Super Star in particular, but this is annoying.

Squeak Squad is probably the most average entry in the Kirby series to date. Personally, it felt like Kirby's Adventure (amazing back in 93 but too short and easy for 2007 standards), but with a new treasure chest gimmick to get 100% completion.
