In a laundromat about a mile away from my campus, there is a old, dirty, but working Neo geo Cabinet. Inside the cabinet is Aero Fighters 2. Since there is no number on the cabinet, I am to assume that is locally owned? If it is, what price should I try to offer if they want to sell it?

Best of luck...most places like this will never sell...and if they do they want too much...if its in working condition i'd say no matter how old or dirty it is, well its worth about $300 if its a 2 slot and about $200 if a 1 slot

I'd go up to $400 so long as it's in good condition under the dirt (basically, if you can clean it off). I usually see them selling in my area for $500.

Just be careful if you do pick it up. The dedicated cabinets (with the white Neo Geo MVS on the side of the cabinet) can be tough to clean off. Not that it's hard to scrub dirt, but the white text is very succeptible to cleaners, tape, scrub brushes, etc. It's very easy to wreck it if you're not careful. The red sides you can scrub until your arm falls off and it's not a problem, just be careful around the lettering is all. Just a word of caution...

Good advice; I can attest to it. The white lettering is silk-screened on (according to SNK) and scratches pretty easily. When I got mine, I scrubbed everything down, but left alone the lettering. Best not to take too many chances :)

I am tempted, though, to scrub it off, then redo the lettering. However, I'd rather not have my first time at that type of thing be on my beloved MVS...
