Does anybody know a usb controller in the "shape" of the 360 that sould work on the ps3?
I was playing warhawk and my thumbs were cramping because of the angle they have to be to use the 2 joysticks.

thanks

I take it you've been unhappy with Sony controllers since 1997?

Can't speak for Mason, but I've hated the PSX controller since launch. I find it awkward and uncomfortable, and the screwhole underneath rubs into my middle finger. I can sympathize with the analog stick issue -- it's definitely at an awkward angle. In this day and age, why they placed the D-Pad in the natural thumb position and the analog stick out of the way is beyond me. It's simply retarded.

the ps(whichever) controller hasn't bothered me, i like using the d-pad and the positioning makes it best for fighters overall so i am not bothered. *shrug*

Mark me down as a Sony controller loather. Ever since it came out I've hated it, and will continue to hate it until they release something that actually has a diagonal on the d pad and actually come up with a good place for the analogues.

i think you can use any other ps1/ps2 controller with the ps3. you just need the usb to psx controller adapter. i know this works with ps2 games, but i haven't tried a ps2 controller on a ps3 game.

But what's the point? All three controllers are identically laid out.

I totally agree. Sony needs to change the position of the two analog sticks (similar to the 360 controller design). Sony controllers have never felt right in my hands when playing FPS's. RPG's on the other hand work fine.

So there is a way to use PS2 controllers on the PS3? My friend has a PS3 but we can't play GH2 on it because the guitar is made for a PS2. Where can you buy an adapter for it? I'd love to pick one up.

Yes. When it comes to using the joysticks.

I just wondered if a PC pad in the Xbox layout might work.

Amazon Link (http://www.amazon.com/Pelican-PL-6338-PS2-PS3-Adapter/dp/B000KIPE12/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-7625806-1743855?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1192555875&sr=8-1)

There's even a little switch on the adapter specifically designed for the Guitar Hero games. PS2 controllers and arcade sticks work fine with this adapter too.

That isn't a photoshop. That's Ben Heck. That fool can do stuff like that in his sleep. Haven't you seen the Wii laptop he made?

As to the original issue, well I think that so far Sony has never had a console that was really suited towards FPS, so they didn't need a real deal FPS type controller. The location of the thumbsticks is a bit odd though. No question. When I first got my PS3 and Resistance, it seemed a bit strange to have both sticks at the same height. Not very ergonomic at all. But what do you expect? I mean come on... Sony made the PSP, and you want to talk about an ergonomically unfriendly design. If you think your hands cramp playing Warhawk on the PS3, try playing the PSP for more than 15 minutes.

Yep, as Anthony1 says, that 360 PS3 controller isnt photoshopped, its the real deal. Check the link under the picture to see more details on it :)

yea i looked at it. Pretty impressive. Too bad he would want 300 bucks for one.

I am surprised nobody has come up with the idea of making an xbox style ps3 controller and a ps3 style 360 controller. I think there could be a whole market for those.
