Hi everyone

Anyone know of any great classic gaming stores in the Nottingham (England) area? As I'm spending a lot of time there nowadays I figure I may as well make extra use of it. :)

I was living there between 1997 & 2001 and scored some amazing deals from Gamestation on Angel Row and Another World on Market Street, but I'd imagine you'd be lucky to do the same these days :/
Aside from those, the only other place I remember is an independent store out towards Mansfield, but I'd stuffed if I can remember the name of it right now... :(

I did once find a small game/junk store in Nottingham, but I'm not too sure where it was, this was back in 1998. I think it was somewhere on or around Upper Parliament Street. It was in some tiny off-street arcade with a couple of other shops from what I remember.

There were also the guys who had the shop on Alfreton Road that sold blank CDs and burners and helpfully modded your Playstations ;) Had a few business dealing with them, but they got busted years ago. Although it was their shop that I first actually got to play on an import Dreamcast. It sat in the glass case on the counter for all to see and drool over and wish they had (iirc) £450 spare. Closing time came and we had a smoke and a few rounds on Power Stone. Very happy chap.

The Gamestation is certainly better than my local one and actually has some decent stuff in. There's the big Forbidden Planet store, but that only sells new stuff. However, opposite the FP store is Chocolate Utopia (http://www.chocolate-utopia.co.uk/). This is the most awesome shop I've ever been in. They have chocolate fountains with all this chocolate just flowing away and handmade chocolates and, um yeah.......

I haven't been up there in about 9 months though. Although I am feeling the need for a couple of new suits so I'll be visiting Hugo Boss and Paul Smith in the next week anyways. I'll have a look if there's anything of interest after I've been choccy shopping....

Ah yeah, think I remember that place - are they the ones that had loads of crap overpriced games out on display, but made all their money selling bootlegs under the counter?
