I had played games your mentioned. they are really wonderful games. I would like to say some thing for Guilty Gear x. Guilty Gear x Sound,Graphics,Presentation was really nice.
There is the problem that characters can't beat each other reach very well. You can't jump high enough to get away from most attacks, and though you can block.It is painful to watch and even more painful to play.

Most characters can double and sometimes tripple jump in Guilty Gear X. I don't usually try to dodge attacks in that way but I don't think it would've been a problem.

Don't forget the plethora of shooters on the DC, Psyvariar is actually really fun.

On the genesis I would recommend Yuyu Hakusho.

I had played Psyvariar 2 . It is a nice game. The best DC shooter. It wont make your feel boring when you are playing it.

My fave DC shooter is Zero Gunner 2, or maybe Border Down when I am in a horizontal mood!

Best shooter I would say is Ikaruga. Psyvariar has fond memories b/c it spawned competition between a friend and myself. Sat there for hours taking turns racking up buzz points.

(took us 3 months to figure out how to pronounce the name)

Oh and try rez. its a unique experience. Especially area 5...

Zero Gunner 2 is impressive.Ikaruga is hands down the best shooter on DC, and can compete for the best shooter of all time. Zero Gunner 2 is probably the second best.The music is pretty much terrible and doesn't fit the game at all.Both are wonderful Games.
