Nintendo power put out the Dragon Warrior color "insert" and I was SHOCKED, Absolutely BLOWN AWAY by all the different monsters , weapons, stats, etc... Then Final Fantasy came out, and the rest was history

Quest for Glory III (PC) was my wonderful intro to the world of Adventure (Point and Click, more RPG than adventure really, in that case) games, which bled easily to a great hearting of RPGs.

My favorite genre is fighting games. It was the SNES version of Streefighter 2 that got me into playing video games again.

Ultima for NES was the first RPG game I got (got it because graphic and some game play appeared to be similiar to Zelda back then) but it wouldn't be until Dragon Warrior for NES and Ultima V for C64 that pretty much glued me to RPG genere for life.

Believe it or not, it was Pac-Man for the 2600. That was the first game I can remember to covet. The rest is history. If not that, it was the first time I inserted Combat into the VCS, but I really think that the ultra-crappy Pac-Man is what converted me into a junkie! 8-)

Final Fantasy II (IV) was my introduction to RPGs. I saw the feature in Nintendo Power back in 1991, and I knew I had to have it.

Axelay got me into shooters, Street Fighter II into fighters (and Soul Blade into 3-D fighters), and Cyberbots into the world of import games.

Chrono Trigger and FFVI are what turned me from casual to hardcore.

When I first got to Lucca's flashback, where her mother gets stuck in the machine, I messed up and didn't input the code fast enough. The ensueing scene traumatized me, even though I just reset afterwards and did it over.

I was a weird little kid.

Chrono Trigger is what got me into RPGs. I always thought they were stupid (stuck to my Marios, Punch-Outs, Zeldas, etc.), but the CT "Time" ad in Game Players really grabbed me for some reason. After $80 at TRU and much agonizing (my car payment wasn't much more than that), I was hooked.

I played a 2600 as a kid with my grandma so that got me started. When I was older I bought a Genesis and started playing EA NHL games way too much.
