View Full Version : PS1 PNOG Trade Promotional Disc (full game)

I've not seen any of these, but I assume they were the versions of games that went out to press (magazine/web reviewers) from studios.

I happened across a copy late in my retail years.

It's a PS1 version of PONG, it's the full game in a white thick CD sleeve (the kind most PS1 demos came in) with a sticker on the front that says :

Hasbro, Inc.
Pong Trade Promotional Disc
PSRM 016270A2734

And the disc on the inside is a black back PS1 CD with very "official" looking printed text from Sony on it, it has the PS1 logo, and it says:

SAMPLE DISC ONLY NOT FOR RESALE

Title Info : Pong ATARI 99728 DEMO

The entire contents are mint condition,

any idea on value, or if this was a "standard" thing for reviewers, or did they usually get retail gold versions of games to review?

Sounds like a review disc. if you took a pic, i could give you a better idea.

$10-15 on the high end.

It's a promo disc, but in collectors circles these are known as Trade Demos. They can go from $5-60 each, depending on several circumstances. This one is less common than most and could net you around $20 on the high end, but unless people were aware of when you were selling it, it might go for alittle less.

Yeah, I figured as much. $20 sounds about right.

I'm not going to sell it since it's the only Trade Demo I have for PS1, so it'll just stay in my collection as an odd rarity.

Hey there. Here's a pointless +1 post but keep me in mind if you wanna sell. I have added a few PS 2 trade demos to my collection (see my blog in the sig) over the summer but it's been a while since I've come across a PS1 trade.

PSOne trade demos are actually pretty hard to come by now a days. Toss my hat into the one of many interested if you decide to sell pile.
