Super Mario Bros. 3: Your Favorite World

Well, I've played a lot of Super Mario Bros. 3 this week, but I just want to know what everyone's favorite land. Y'know, the lands that you must venture through. I also just want to the flex the muscles of the new site's poll system! :lol:

Grass Land
Small, simple, and quaint.

Desert Land
Pyramids, dust devils, and a killer sun... literally.

Sea Side
Plenty of water, plus you get your own canoe!

Giant Land
Bigger has always been better!

Sky
Kuribo's debut! Heavenly views too!

Iced Land
Kinda' cold but there's joy in thawing out frozen coins.

Plant Maze
Nice and green. Of course, the plant life is vibrant!

Dark Land
Tanks, and battleships, and jets oh my!

That's actually a very tough call. I've been playing SMB 3 somewhat this week too. I used to dig on the Iced Land because that's where you got all the hammer bros. outfits, and I used to like the Giant world, because it was the most unique. The Water world has the most interesting map layout, the Plant/Pipe world is the most challenging, The desert world is straight up Mario style, the Cloud world has Kuribo's shoe and that awesome reversible tower. I finally Went with Iced Land because that used to be my favorite hands down. Plus there's some tough levels in that one! And Tanooki Mario!

I picked Dark Land, simply because it was an unpleasant surprise after the relatively bright and colorful worlds featured before it.

Hmm... Well, the Plant Maze not only had challenge, but it had quite a bit of variety, too. The music wasn't the greatest, though; worlds 4 and 5 sounded much better.

How could you beat the Dark Land? With constant screen progression, cannonballs flying over you, under you, AT you consistantly. Those guys who pop up out of them holes and throw those spinning things at you. The challenge! Of course after I died about a hundred times I'd just P-wing it, but I think The Dark Land would be pretty tough to beat in this pole. Thats my opinion though.

I voted for World 3 - Sea Side, simply because it's such a refreshing change after world 2. Plus it's got some nice music!

World 4 and 5 would probably come equal second - world 4 because it's so different and world 5's atmospheric music.

World 7's musical theme should also receive a mention!

As you can probably gather, music is probably the deciding factor in how much I like a game. Some games I simply play just to hear the music! (Penny Racers on N64, Sega Rally on Saturn, Jet Force Gemini on N64, Mystical Ninja on N64, Top Gear Rally on GBC and PilotWings on SNES just to name a few!)

For me it would happen to be ice world! I can not get enough of this level, and since you slip on the ice, it becomes quite fun and unpredictable, especially if you want to beat your best time on that level!

I'm gonna have to go with World 5. Kuribo's shoe, the transition from ground to sky, and my favorite level, the one with the para beetles, make for the best world.

I'd say the first one, Grass Land. Just because it's so iconic, and most of my memories of Mario 3 come from that first level.

There's something about those Mountains dancing along to the music that is just so funky.

This was a tough one, but I voted for Giant Land. The giant Hammer Brothers were fun. I also liked how in 4-6 you could alternate between giant enemies and small enemies by going in those doors. It would have been cooler if the fortresses in that world had giant enemies, though.

I'm gonna have to go with Ice Land. First of all the map has my favorite music track from SMB3 and second of all, I love the challenge of the timing jumps while slipping on ice!

i picked iceland mainly because i think it's the hardest world! i never had as many problems in the others worlds...

i bit surprised that most like the giant world, it was fun, but easy.

I remember loving the Giant World when I first played it. The giant Goombas and Koopa Paratroopas were such a surprise. Second place would go to Plant Maze.

I was really split between Giant Land and Sky Land! Giant land pwned because you had to pick up a huge ass sprite of a turtle and throw it :-P And then there was the one level where you could switch between Giant and Regular, I thought that was so cool in the original! I liked skyland because you could get the boot thing, and stomp around on shit! That was awesome too! I also believe this was where you could get the tanookie suit, which made it that much cooler. Plus it was split between the bottom and top!

Thats was a hard question to answer. They're all so good that it was difficult to choose which one was actually the best.
I chose Grass Land, just because I think its layed out perfectly, and I love all the levels in it.

Giant Land was cool. It had really huge enemies and tons of hidden areas, plus it was one of only two worlds w/Bullet Bill cannons. World 3 is good too, because that's where you can get unlimited 1ups. :D

I voted for World 3. It was alot of fun swimming in the water, between the good music the GFX were awesome. The only thing I hated about the water world was it was to friggin short! Just about the time you really get into it you've finished the world.
