I'm torn: I have the opp to buy a nib 60gb ps3 @ $380 shipped. Do I buy and flip it, do I buy and keep it, do I let it go? Agh, what to do?

Buy and keep. At least at that price you have a very cheap Blue Ray player

Buy and keep. Decent PS3 games are still expensive to buy, but if you snag Gamefly and Netflix subscriptions alongside the PS3, you'll be set. Great deal, there.

I don't know, this looks like one of those "too good to be true" things. It's an ebay deal, the guy has 8 feedback and he's "sold" no less than 10 of these in the last day, taking offers as low as $340 per unit, all nib, all using the same crappy cameraphone picture. I haven't seen one piece of related feedback on these types of items for him. Something about this doesn't jive. Sure I could buy it and do a chargeback if I don't get it, but it may not be worth the hassle. If you want to look him up and give your thoughts, his id is starcodedevelopment.

Hm, maybe this should be moved to everything eBay now...

Doesn't look like he's got them for sale anymore...

He does, but now he's upped the price to $445 with free shipping. I'm not sweating this, there's too many things wrong with the whole situation. His company just happens to have at least a dozen spare 60 gb ps3's that he's willing to sell below cost? Maybe I'm too skeptical, but I'll pass...

last week I found a guy who was selling complete used premium 360s for buy it now $175 with free shipping and an extra controller. He required immediate payment, but his feedback looked good, and he had five of the systems. I emailed him within minutes of his listing to check and make sure the warranty sticker was intact. By the time he replied the systems were all sold. Ten minutes later he had TEN of the exact same systems, only this time he made sure to point out that the warranty sticker was intact. He had also upped the price to $200. This time they didn't sell nearly as fast. It smelled fishy to me, so I passed. The next day he was no longer registered. Hmmm...

If you live in the Midwest, Meijer's is having a 15% off all general merchandise sale on 10/20/07. You can also apply for a Meijer's credit card while you're in the store and get an extra 10% off on top of that, bringing the cost of a 60gb PS3 to $385 + tax.

I was just at Meijer's last week and they had 4 or 5 of the 60gb systems, so I think I'm going to do this deal and pick one up tomorrow.

Not to be a hater, but if you buy the thing . . . what do you play? I'm not a Sony basher, even though I think they have become retarded.

There will be good stuff . . . like . . . later. But now, what's the point? There's just nothin'.

I suppose that as a Blue Ray player, it might be cool.

Well there's the whole region thing you have to think about. Unless I'm mistaken and the PS3 is not region locked?

I'm also thinking about the whole BC thing, which is important to me. I got a bad feeling that when it becomes very common knowledge that the EE is out, aftermarket sellers are going to jack the price of the 60gb to ridiculous levels since it then becomes OMGZ th3 rAr3Z in their minds.
