Gotta admit I heard very little about this game till a recent thread, but I really like this demo.
The dialogue is witty and fresh, the combat system is easy and non-cumbersome and the graphics are adequet and should run on nearly any system.
I heard they were shooting for a diablo clone with this game and I would say it's the best clone i've seen of Diablo. The first boss fight was cool already and a bit challenging. The skill tree is also pretty nice. This game has some nice little details and while there seem to be a couple of areas that could have been improved overall i'm very impressed and will buy this game already on execution alone as it's easy to get into and fun.
I don't know much about it though, does anyone know how long this game is going to be and can I form parties online?
Edit: Nevermind, I went and read some info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellgate:_London
Hellgate: London is a computer game under development by Flagship Studios. The design of the game is similar in a number of ways to the Diablo series. This is due to influence of Flagship Studios co-founders including a number of ex-Blizzard North employees, including Diablo series creators Erich Schaefer and former President David Brevik. The other founders are Erich's brother Max Schaefer, former Blizzard North Vice President Bill Roper, and Diablo II producer Kenneth Williams.
Hellgate: London is an action role-playing game which has some first-person shooter elements in a post-apocalyptic setting. Gameplay is based heavily on the character's stats. The FPS element of Hellgate: London will be seen in the Hunter faction and will require some skill to use. Soft-aim will be included in the game as a form of aim assistance. One preview described the game as World of Diablo, a cross between World of Warcraft and Diablo II.
Seems they have a free and a price structure set up as well for online, with pvp and all that with updated content, etc. This game has really hit me from left field.
I would say it's more like City of Heroes/Diablo II though, as it's much more fast and fun than WoW.
I'm definetely sold on this game.
