I was walking down the street near my house the other day and saw this:

Immediately transfixed, I snapped another pic of the game. Keep in mind, these cabs are at most 3 feet tall.

In case you can't see it, that's Metal Slug on the left. Awesome! :D

Very cool. Do you know if those are just for kids, or are they for adults too?

(thread moved to the Arcade Alley)

I've seen generic Cabs like that here in the states. Tend to have a Pac or Frogger in them.

Really? Can you link to one? I've never seen an arcade cab this small before.

Vec, I'm pretty sure they're just for kids, unless you want to play on your knees :)

I've seen small ones before but never that small! I love how they are sitting out on the sidewalk for kids to play. Thanks for sharing those pix!

Looks like those tiny cabs are actually sitting in some sort of box that has a pull down garage type door on it. I assume so it can be brought down and locked up to keep the cabs protected and secured.

Hey Flack? Wouldn't it be cool to have a corner of the OVGE setup with a bunch of those for little ones?! I can dream about it at least...

They forgot to put an ashtray in those.

I can arrange for one that's about that size. It's a multi game setup a buddy of mine bought from one of the local auctions. Cute little sucker, but uncomfortable to play!

I remember as a kid, their was one of those tiny arcade cabs at the hairdresser's place (he was specialised in kids hairdressing).
The game was Pooyan if I remember correctly.

Not bad, would be cool to have one for a kid. Doesn't appear to be something I'd consistantly play on nightly though.

That's exactly right. They're pulled off the street and into an alley every night. It's a really cool idea, whoever came up with it :)

EDIT: BTW, those are also the first Neo Geo machines I've seen here, and I've looked around in quite a few arcades. I'll keep my eyes peeled and my camera out when I go to Seoul in a couple weeks.

Those are great. I've never seen anything quite so small, they're even smaller than Capcom's Mini Cute.

I wish some of these MAME cab builders would make cabs that fit their monitors. Everyone seems to be using generic plans for upright woodies that can take 29" arcade monitors, and then putting tiny little 14 or 17" PC monitors in these absolutely gigantic cabs. If you only have a 17" monitor save time and money and build something small and cute like this.

Hehe, that's something my kid would like. He's had a blast with Warlords cocktail since it's about his size. :D

Yesterday I saw some of the same size machines with Virtua Fighter in them, same kind of setup in the metal boxes for easy storage.
