If the DS version of the game actually comes with a spinner dial accessory, I'll buy it just for it's future "weird/unique peripheral" value.
I managed a Funco for about 5 years and we never got a decently working used NES Arkanoid paddle traded in during that whole time.

The Japanese one is definately coming with the spinner control that you see plugged into the bottom of the DS in my above posted link. So far no US games have had any special controlers/perferials have made for it, so that gives me the slightly down feeling that it might not make it out here.

Luckily the DS is region free, so just import the sucker! :)

That was fun. :)
I can't wait until it's out!
Though for me, the jury's still out on whether or not I'll like the spinning dial controls. I might just stick to the D-pad, or better yet, THE STYLUS (please make it happen!!!)!

I hope this is a new trend, posting demos online like that. Really cool!

Oh you tell me this like I don't already own other Japanese DS games that came with their own extra controller things ;) . I'm just hoping that it gets a US release and will hold out for a while to see what might actually come to light. I'm waiting on a US Tingle's Ruppee release, I can wait a bit for a possible US Arakanoid.

Is there a list of DS games that have their own extra controller things? I had no idea they existed!

love the music in that demo the robot voice sounds like the one in ikaruga, i was expection it to say one chain hehe.
So far theres only 3 games that i can think of in japan that come with extra hardware.
Slide adventure Mag kid comes with a optical mouse addon.
Face training comes with a camera cart.
Love & berry comes with a card scanner.

MushiKing: Super Collection also has a card scanner. Same card collecting/arcade playing vein as Love Berry, not to mention that its also done by Sega but has been going strong now for something like 5 years. If they've done any DinosaurKing stuff then when they do their next DS title that one will have a swiper too.

Oh yeah i forgot they used the same scanner for that game too except its not hideous pink like the love & berry one LOL.
I wish they would use the card scanner in other non sega games. I still miss no more new stuff for my ereader.

Did anyone get this? I would be interested in hearing your experiences with it. I'll probably get it eventually after the holidays are over.

I tried out the ROM on my flash card and the game is very solid and enjoyable. Better by far than Nervous Brickdown (which wasn't terrible, but had enough problems that I couldn't really get into it). So I just ordered the game from Play-Asia. I can't wait to try it out with the paddle, which I hear tell is a true spinner not just a pot and it even has some inertia/momentum to it apparently. Class.

Last I checked it was backordered on play-asia.com, but my local importer is expecting his first shipment of this in today, so hopefully I'll have it by tonight.
