Seriously, I forgot about this game. The only SNES Bonk game in existance, but man this is truly an oddball title. I found it today for $10 and figured why not? Sure it has the fimilar elements of Bonk 3 and previous Bonk games. Yet how or who decided to release this game to the US SNES? Beats me, but what are your opinions on this lone Bonk game?

Hey, I got a complete version of it a few months ago. Overall, I went into it with high expectations after loving the first three on a TG-16 emulator. I found the SNES version to exacerabate the weaknesses of the third title (clumsy puzzles via changing size) and also found it ridiculously easy. On my first try, I cruised through it and only lost a couple lives on the second to last boss.
With that said, it still is a Bonk game, so the gameplay is fun and the graphics are beautiful. Still good, just not great.

There's actually two Bonk games for the SNES, but only one of them made it out of Japan

I agree, it is a Bonk game no matter what, but whenever I play it, it makes me go "Huh?" in terms of "What were they thinking?" Yet it is one of the best looking Bonk games from it's appearence.
Blue Lander, yes I have seen the sequel from JPN. Is it any better?

There are also two Bonk games for the Gameboy, in case you're looking to collect them all. They're called "Bonk's Adventure" and "Bonk's Revenge", but despite the names, they're not the same as the TG-16 games.

Beat me to it. The SFC game is "Super Genjin 2" or something close to that. The original of course is Super Genjin. I also have Super Bonk, and yes, it pretty much flew under the radar.
EDIT: I have yet to play SG2 so I cannot comment, but it's not hard to find and shouldn't run you any more than $20 shipped cart only. Worth it if you're a big Bonk fan I say. I heard some good things about it.

it was also fan translated awhile back. I prefer super genjin 2 to the original, to me it feels more close to bonk's revenge (pcengine)

Is B.C. Kid the same game as Bonk's Adventure or something? I haven't played it, but it seems somehow related.

Yup, B.C. Kid is the European release of Bonk. I know there's at least an Amiga version of it.

Yeah, I first saw B.C. Kid on some web page about Chris Hulsbeck. I've also seen a B.C. Kid for Game Boy, which I assume is just the European release of GB Bonk's Adventure.

I always loved the bonk series, but i always thought it was too weird when he turned into odd things, such as girl bonk, ballarina, etc.. if they had implimented other power ups or gone another route i wouldve liked it more, but thats my personal taste.

I recently got FC Genjin, a.k.a. NES Bonk's Adventure, and was disappointed at how ridiculously easy it is. I breezed through the entire thing in about an hour. That's not to say it's a bad game or that it wasn't fun. It was very interesting experiencing an 8-bit version of Bonk. It's just a shame that it's not more of a challenge to conquer.
From my experience bonks have always been easy. Fun games to play though when you are bored.
