I just bought a Sega Saturn game from a pawn shop, and its pretty scuffed and dirty. But its Panzer Dragoon Saga so I bought it anyway. The first disc though is just really scuffed and scratched and dirty. I used a game doctor once and it still doesnt boot up. Is there anything I could do besides a game doctor?

There are places that do a professional job of resurfacing...usually costs between 2 and 4 dollars per disc. You already know that what you have is valuable. Problem is, will resurfacing it make it more or less valuable? It will be in great condition if resurfaced, as long as none of the scratches are too deep, but even in professional machines, you can usually tell if its been done. I know you're not supposed to resurface Dreamcast games because of the discs makeup, not sure on Saturn. IMO, a perfect disc thats been resurfaced is better than a trashed original. Oh yeah, and if you've already used a gamedoctor on it, you can't do anything worse short of skating down your street on it.

Exactly what he said. Some shops can get it done without leaving a spot. I have done this locally a few times with rare PSX games. Man, those are usually the most fucked up. Do not have a Dreamcast disc done unless you plan on hanging it on your wall. Best bet would be to take an audio Cd or another not so valuable game and have them do that and see how it comes out. Push comes to shove, I'd buy it if it was fixable ;)

So what's the best way to get a scratched DC game to play? I have a copy of GigaWing that runs, but the sprites are all garbled.
