I stumbled across this somehow when reading about programming on Wikipedia. Anyone ever given it a try?

At the time of its release, I was pretty gay for Artdink so I was one of the few that eagerly snapped it up. Learning curve was fairly steep, but the tutorial disc and the manual both did a pretty good job of getting you up and running. Never played any of the subsequent releases and rereleases :(

About 5 or 6 years ago I got back into the game with a couple of buddies online thanks to the magic of emulation. We'd build our little robots, swap memory card files, and have 'em duke it out to see who had built the best OKE. I got my ass handed to me more often than not, but it was still as fun as ever.

Nice to hear that its price tag has remained fairly low.

Haha.. I remember this game.. I kinda liked the concept more than the actual end product, but it was still fun to tinker endlessly with back in the day.. I might have to go track it down, again.

Carnage Heart has become one of the rarest of all U.S. PlayStation titles due to limited production. The game was also plagued by poor sales and virtually no advertising. The bland graphics and steep challenge are the two reasons often given for the lack of success in the U.S. market. The rarity has not affected its online auction sale price, which is usually under US$20.

Give me a break. Carnage Heart isn't an easy game to find but I'd hardly one of the rarest. More like a R4 or R5 at the most.

That's true. Unfortunately, many of the same folks who edit Wikipedia are the type who think that if something can't be found in their area, it must be extremely rare.

I'd agree with that, it's 1 of the rarest in my collection [PAL]. I've only ever seen it being sold once.

It really is a unique, innovative game I think.
