So I'm buying a bunch of stuff from someone, Lynx and Jaguar, and I'm wondering if this is a reasonable price for all of this?

For $210 CDN

- Lynx System (Newer Style) in Box
- Atari Jaguar System (boxed)
- Lynx Sun Visor and Screen Guard

SegaCD Games:
- Sol Feace (Sega CD, Boxed)
- Lethal Enforcers (Sega CD, boxed with light gun)

Lynx Games:
- Rampart (boxed)
- Chip's Challenge (boxed)
- Xybots (boxed)
- Electrocop (unboxed)
- Blue Lightning (unboxed)
- Gates of Zendocon (boxed)
- California Games (boxed)
- Klax (boxed)
- Rygar (unboxed)

Atari Jaguar Games:
- Wolfenstein 3D (unboxed)
- DOOM (unboxed)
- Checkered Flag (unboxed)
- Zool (unboxed)

Also, I think I picked out some of the better Lynx games that he had. Any of those real stinkers (other than the Jag games :P)?

Well, I don't know how good Atari Lynx/Jaguar availability is in Alberta, but that doesn't seem like all that good of a deal to me. The consoles are boxed, which is good, but the price seems a bit steep. I'd personally try to haggle a bit, maybe start out at $150.

Well, in Canada in general I have never seen a Lynx or Jag in the wild, except at "specialty" shops that want 150$ for a beat up Jag. Well, actually, I did see one beat up Lynx at a Sally Ann once, but that's about it.

Hmmm...

EDIT: I also don't think he will go down, as I'm already getting it all for much less than he originally wanted. =/

yeah, I don't think I'd go crazy on that deal. Maybe for $150, but there are no really great games there. jaguar complete ~$100, lynx complete ~$30, blue lightning ~ $13 and Rygar ~10. that would be my advice.

Hm, then I wonder if I can get him down to $170...

EDIT: I'm spineless. I sent him a counter-offer of $180. I'd be happy with that price, I think. That'd work out to about 70$ for the Jag, 30$ for the Lynx, and about 5$ a game.

Also, I think the units are boxed, but not necessarily complete (manuals).

EDIT2:
His reply:

Actually, $210 is a about $65 less than what I would be selling it for
normally so I won't be going any lower. I can take some stuff off to
get the price to to around $180 if you like.

But, I wanted to pick up a handfull of Lynx games and the only 4 Jag games he had, because I'll never see them in the wild.

Hmmm...

I'll ditch Sol-Feace, California Games, and Checkered Flag. Fuck, it's hard, the reviews are all over the goddamned place.

it isn't an awesome deal but he's not totally raping you up the ass either so if you really want hte stuff and you aren't going to put yourself in debt, getting all the stuff together without having to deal with egay might be worth it, though you might just want to ask if the stuff is complete to be safe. sometimes paying a little more is worth not having to seek stuff out espeicaly for semi uncommon stuff like the lynx and jag.
