I've got a softmodded XBox. The Xbox uses the UnleashX dashboard.
I've copied Mameox 128 Plus! (v 20060505) to the Xbox, under the Emulators directory.
I copied mshu.zip (Marvel Super Heroes) to the roms directory.
When I launch Mame, it lists Marvel Super Heroes. If I try to play it, though, Mameox goes through loading a series of 22 files named msh.##m, where # = some number. Mameox then lists a ton of missing .##m files, and won't start the game.
Example:
msh.05 NOT FOUND
msh.06b NOT FOUND
When I look at mshu.zip myself, there are only 4 files within the .zip.
I loaded Berzerk, and it played A-Ok.
Also, Sinistar & Lunar Lander loaded Ok.
I've redownloaded Marvel Super Heroes 3 times from a couple of different sources - every time the .zip only contains the four files my first mshu.zip included.
The Euro version of the ROM has 21 files in the zip.
If I run the Euro, a screen displays stating that the game doesn't work properly. I then enter into what seems to be an endless series of 'testing rom'-type screens, so maybe the message is right, and that ROM doesn't work.
Strangely, after trying the Euro version of the ROM, I re-tried the US version and it loaded fine.
Anyone understand what's going on here?
