View Full Version : Finally got my Lunar games back. I did a dumb trade a long time ago.

*hugs Silver Star Story Complete and Eternal Blue Complete* I'm sorry babies. You're never leaving me ever again.
In 2002, I traded these games for Final Fantasy X and SSX Tricky. Yeah.
But it's all good now. I have a decent job, and trivial crap like how much a game is 'worth' means little to me now. I'm just glad I finally have both of them back. They just don't make jRPGs like they used to.

The actual games? Or did you just rebuy them?

I thought you were referring to the Original LUNARs on the SEGA CD. Now those were items of great value!

Congrats on getting the games back! If it makes you feel any better, back in the N64's heyday, my cousin went to GameCrazy and traded in Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy III (with an unofficial but excellent strategy guide)... for some N64 football game.
Around the same time, I sold off my original copy of Super Mario RPG to a classmate in my freshman science class for $20. Man, am I glad to have that one back. :)

Your cousin got boned bad, but your SMRPG wasn't a complete loss as $20 is some decent money for a student (even freshmen if you're without a job).
I never traded games years ago, I kept everything. I've always been a packrat of some sort. If I sell something it's for a good reason and I shouldn't regret it later. ;)
But yeah, good to know you have those games again. I've had mine for awhile now but still haven't begun to play them. One day though it'll be some good times.

I've gotten worse since I started the vacation, but I'm hanging in there. I still intend to bring back my show soon, hopefully with a stockpile of episodes ready to go.
I also own the Sega CD versions, but the original Lunar definitely needed a remake. Eternal Blue... ehhh I guess it didn't hurt.

I got you beat, back in the day, before i had a job and was able to support my gaming oh so many moons ago, i would trade my black label rpgs in for bootlegs of games that werent that great to begin with, i remeber once trading in all at once, star ocean 2, 2 copies of ff7 black label, final fantasy tactics, legend of legaia, and a couple of other non rpg but stlll black label mint condition games for an action replay cart to play the bootlegs, ff8 bootleg, the bootleg to driver and i think wipeout the bootleg....which back then i guess to make fit on a blank cd sacrifices had to be made...as in the music files were dumped so i just played wipeout without sound =(
no one here can make a bigger claim to past stupidity than I....no one....=(

Hmm... could have sworn I'd posted in here with my Bubble Bobble 2 for Chrono Cross story. In the end it was a bad trade, but I've come to terms with the fact that I never did like Bubble Bobble 2 (although at the time I hadn't even played it since my NES was old and unreliable). But the girl I traded it to was certainly excited. XD
