Question about NES orig BLACK BOX games...

Hi everyone...

Great site... I use it all the time for reference and price / rarity checks.

I have never posted in a forum before, because I never needed to ask anything.

Until now !

How were the original "Black box" games for the NES packaged?

Were they shrinkwrapped?
or was that little round black "NINTENDO" sticker seal all there was on top of the box.

Yeah, ditto...it's never really been established exactly how or why this came to be the case. It's been thought that perhaps the earliest copies were sealed with the sticker and they switched to shrinkwrap later, but this has never been proven.
