Hey gang,

http://i22.tinypic.com/2hrg9aa.jpg

At the local thrift store, I found this cassette single in the cassettes bin. It appears to be from the videogame Maximum Carnage for the Genesis/Super Nintendo. There are two songs - one on each side - Carnage Rules and Rock-N-Roll Pumpkhin (yes, spelled like that). I'm guessing this was either a pack-in with the game or a mail-in offer or something.

Anyone with info? And any value idea?

Nice one. Acclaim rules.

It originally came with some sealed trading cards attached (inside the external shrinkwrap). I can't see them on your pictures though.

I got one of those in a fanny pack full of random video game freebies when I went to the Blockbuster World Game Championships in '94.

I believe that I've seen it with the 7 cards sealed go for 15-20 bucks. I hate cassetts. Had a player in my 92 Probe back in 01 and it started eating every tape I had. Is there anyway to have it sound good on CD or MP3?

That was a nice USA-only bonus for sure. It was actually the only "soundtrack" ever made for that game...

No cards. Cellophane was opened to get the tape in and out and I bet the last owner lost them or whatever. Thanks for the info, folks!

that'd go well with my max carnage limited edition boxed set ;-)

I see the cards separate every once and a while. I bought just the cards a couple weeks ago for a dollar and BTW they are the cheapest most flimsy cards that I have ever seen. Not mention that the pics on the cards is lousy, taken directly from the game and very fuzzy/pixelated. But I wanted I wanted it because I collect Marvel cards and SNES related stuff.

From what I can remember on reading up on it a while back, I believe it was a pack-in with the games, but i'm not 100% sure.

All i know is, I want it..
