If someone leaves you positive feedback, are you protected against chargebacks?

I've got a ton of DC slips and receipts from the post office lying around, that the bidders have left positive feedback for. I usually wait around 90 days to get rid of them so if something comes up with eBay or paypal, I have proof. But would someone leaving positive feedback stating that they were happy with the purchase be enough proof? I doubt it, but it'd be nice to clean up a bit more here.

From my understanding, it counts as strong evidence in your favor, but definitive proof it is not. :(

I've heard in the past that it doesn't make a difference and that you ultimately have to prove that you shipped it to the buyer.

I had the case once (I was the buyer though), the seller got his payment, I received the stuff, I left feedback, he left feedback then one month later, I got a non paying bidder complaint ! (the seller made a mistake)
So I guess feedback proves nothing.

could say he left it as a mistake and meant for someone else.

besides paypal is pretty by the book with tracking. Either you can prove they got it or you can't

I have heard rumors that a positive feedback indicating the item has arrived could be used as proof, but it's never worked for me, and I've never seen any proof of it working anywhere on the internet. If you're a seller and you don't have a tracking/confirmation number of any kind, you're simply not going to win a "not received" dispute.

positive feedback DID NOT work as proof for me. I pointed it out, and the paypal guy said it didn't matter at all.

Thanks for all the info. I usually keep my receipts and DC slips for about 3 months, just in case. But I was trying to get rid of the huge pile I had laying around ;)
