I am asking because on "The official Wii Virtual Console updates thread-page 24" had 2 different claims with Alien Soldier on the Sega Channel.

I checked Wikipedia orginally, and it claimed Alien Soldier was on the Sega Channel. A follow poster claimed Alien soldier wasn't with him having the Sega Channel back in the day. Then a 2 posts later, another poster claimed Alien Soldier was on the Sega Channel.

I did some checking on a source Wikipedia used after that and I didn't Alien Soldier being mention That info was for 5 different entries though in 1997 with them starting in March 1997 to June 1997. The link is here: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.sega.com/channel/

I am not sure if Alien Soldier was on the Sega Channel.

Wikipedia is not always an accurate source. There even had been ea employees editing the EA entry on Wikipedia with them taking Trip Hawkins out from being the founder of EA!

Having those 2 members on that thread giving conflicting information has made not know if Alien Soldier was really released on the Sega Channel.

From everything I have ever understood it did exist on the Sega Channel. However I did not have the Sega Channel myself, so I am not an eye witness.

Well, keep in mind that the Sega Channel service was also available in Europe and itīs probable that Alien Soldier was released on the European Sega Channel portal.

Well, I apologize for having complicated things.

However, I do remember having played Alien Soldier on Sega Channel. The archived Sega Channel website does not have this information, because it only shows one month's worth of information, and the games changed every month.

A few gaming sites state Alien Soldier was released on Sega Channel; however you wish to interpret this is up to you...

Again, not trying to start an argument, but if there is anything I remember from Sega Channel, it's the exclusive games and having won the art contest. :)

Thanks for helping me out. I am nolonger mixed up on this matter and it turns out I was correct a first place. Alien Soldier was on the Sega Channel in North America sometime from 1994 to June 1998.

I hope we get The Wily Wars on VC.... It's kinda difficult to swallow for fans of the original NES Megaman 1-3... but I'd still love to have the variant in some form.

I remember every month would have a different them, one month would be disney games, another rpg's and some months even had international with games from over seas so maybe that's when they had it. I remember playing this game so it must have been on the sega channel.

It might have been sometime in late 1996, come to think of it.

Art contest? Do tell... I don't recall you mentioning this before.
