I found this this morning, have no interest in it...

I managed to find this thread (http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3765) at Assembler games with more info on thjis thing, but there was no real price guide or anything. This system has a few scrapes and the metal part of the SCSI plug is kinda floating off (one of the screws is gone, but the plug is still there), but it looks to be in good condition.

I say looks because I don't have any cables or software for this thing. Assembler mentioned the whole shebang cost him $650, but that post is from two years ago, and it was complete.

Any thoughts on how much this could be worth?

where did you find it?

Also, I've seen at least two on Ebay. If I recall they went for upwards around 400$ mark. but that was with other stuff to go with it. Plus they didn't have any flaws (floating Scsi). Maybe 250-300ish$?

I found it at one of my usual flea market haunts near the border. The guy who sold this to me gets random game stuff every so often. I did check for other parts, but there were none.

I'm guessing you got it cheap and planning to sell it for a large profit, eh?

That's my job. :D

But in truth, I'd rather see this go to someone who could actually use it. Or if I couldn't sell it, at least know -I- could use it somehow. :p

Lol I hate to bring us off subject in your thread. I'd love to get my hands on such a product. I'd doubt I'd use it for emulation purposes. But I'd find a way to use it... Can someone say... Lords of Thunder?! ZERO WING?! hazzah.

Edit: or have the money >_>

Pffffft, I don't mind.

That Assembler thread said this thing could output to NTSC or PAL, and that it would run games of any region. That's one heck of a system. I'd love to play Zero Wing on a real NTSC TV, or Alien Soldier too! ;)

indeed. In all seriousness though I think you could get a pretty penny for it. Definitely not as much as a system with some products still with it. Then again I don't see much Dev ware with "everything".

I say let the market decide.

Throw it to the hyenas on eBay!

No idea what it's worth but I have to say... that's bitchin'. Nice find!

Eventually i'd like to get my hands on something like this for my collection. Since i'm going for a complete Sega Genesis collection, and I think this would be an awesome addition to the ever growing collection. But i doubt i'd ever find the money for this, lol....

No one who has read this post so far saw the DP Store Museum v 1.0. This item has been swapped out, but it was fully explained.

It's a dev console for all regions so the system itself is region-free. There are outputs for PC so you can dump games as well.

Mine is about 10 years old and I paid about 200 for it. In today's market, I'd say it's worth twice that and as a retailer I'd ask three times that, particularly if you've tested it out and it works nicely.

Very cool item, great conversation piece, too.

Awesome. I'm currently on the hunt for the power supplies and cables to connect this to a TV, in hopes it'll still work. I found the part numbers here at DP, woo! I hope it does... even though I'd like to sell it, I think it's still an awesome thing to have! This is probably the coolest thing I've found in my three or so years of flea market hunting. Too bad I don't collect Genny stuff. (I never liked the system that much growing up.)
