Well, I was pretty far on DK2. And I stress WAS because I turn the game on my SNES and it was erased. And no one has played my SNES. This happened before to my Donkey Kong 2 file, Any clue on what the problem is? And how it can be fixed??.

Your battery may be going dead. Are all the files erased, or just yours? If it's just the one, I think ghosts is a plausible option.

Your game may be defective, you'll have to throw it away and get a new one. That's really the only option available, other than replacing the battery, whatever is easier.

Throwing away games that aren't made any more is always the answer. Another victory for sustainable consumerism!

You can replace the battery, the only opposition is that damn Nintendo screw and the welded (not soldered) battery. Any person half into electronics could do it. Cartridges rarely just go *pfft* :)

If it's a used game I'm betting the previous owner has a voodoo doll of it.

You might as well turn that cart into a wallet, like the one seen here:

(Made by Kamino, owned by me. I don't use it as my main wallet, but it does serve as an interesting conversation piece.)

hey wasn't it sega does what nintendon't? cause sega has better technology than watch batteries anyways.
oh and not to take away from the op but I've been wondering, and i know this sounds iinsanely stupid but can you just solder a new battery to the weld?

If you don't mind the possibility that the battery will explode. :)
The Knowledge Base has this entry (http://www.digitpress.com/livefaq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=39&id=175&artlang=en) about replacing a Sega Genesis cartridge battery; the procedure for replacing the battery in a SNES cartridge is pretty much the same.

Replacing the battery is pretty easy if you have any previosu soldering skills as it would take less than ten minutes. As another option send your game to me and I will do it for you, just pay for the parts and the shipping.

Use a cleaning kit first on both the game and system before trying to replace the battery. A poor connection can result in lost saves, especially if the console is bumped while the power is on.

My second copy of Phantasy Star IV wants to have a word with you...well, actually it doesn't, because it's not alive. But anyway, no; Sega did use batteries (in fact Phantasy Star was one of the first battery-backed games released in the US, along with Legend of Zelda).

Hey, it tried to hang me!! Damn DC got all offensive when I mocked it about its poorly secured power supply board.
Really though, to replace the battery don't even screw with the welds. Remove the battery clip (and the attached battery) at its attachment points to the PCB, then replace the whole works with a battery retainer that allows battery replacement.
